Wheaton Man Charged With Child Pornography

A Wheaton man is charged with possession of child pornography after a Wheaton Police Department investigation, according to a press release from the police department.

Police on Thursday, Sept. 27, arrested Michael Kochan, 28, of the north 600 block of Knollwood Court in Wheaton, police said.

Kochan was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and transferred to the DuPage County Jail with bail bond set at $50,000 (by depositing 10 percent of the $50,000 bail bond set), police said.

He is charged with one count of child porn, intent to actively reproduce or distribute, and possession of child porn, according to court records.

Kochan is scheduled to appear in DuPage County Court Thursday, Oct. 11.
