A Wheaton man has been charged with burglarizing a church in an unincorporated area near Glen Ellyn, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

The arrest of Jason Schultz, 38, of the 700 block of Liberty Avenue, Wheaton, comes after an investigation by the sheriff's office that began in November, when St. Luke's Evangelical Church first reported a burglary. In mid-December, the sheriff's office says, three more burglaries at schools and churches in south Milton Township were reported, including a second at St. Luke's.

The sheriff's investigation led to Schultz, who was charged with one count of burglary from a school or place of worship, a class 1 felony.
