Wheaton police reports, Aug. 26-29

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29

Bike Stolen

Someone stole a $400 bike from the bike rack at the College Avenue train depot between 7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.

House Damage

Someone damaged a resident’s patio door in the 900 block of North Path between 3:15 and 4 p.m. The cost of damage is $200, police said.

Car Break-in

  • Someone broke into an unlocked 2007 Mitsubishi in the 700 block of Ralph Court and stole “various” personal items between 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.
  • Someone broke into a blue 2002 Buick parked in the 1400 block of Morse Avenue and stole “various” personal items between 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 and 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.

Car Vandalism

  • Someone damaged the rear window of a silver 2011 Honda hatchback parked in the 500 block of Wilshire Avenue between 10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.
  • Someone smashed the front windshield of a silver 2001 Honda Accord in the 800 block of Howard Street between 10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 and 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 28

Bike Wheel Stolen

Someone stole a $200 bike wheel from a bike locked to a pole in the 300 block of Front Street between 1:45 and 5 p.m.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 26

Break-in, Theft on Lakeview Drive

Someone broke into a building in the 2000 block of Lakeview Drive in Wheaton between 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 and 7 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 and stole “various” items, police said.
