Warrenville Brothers Arrested on Heroin-Dealing Charges

A Wheaton police investigation led to the Sunday arrest, which comes amidst a massive spike of heroin deaths in DuPage County.

Two Warrenville brothers were arrested on Sunday on charges of dealing and intending to deal heroin, following a long investigation by the Wheaton Police Department, the Daily Herald reports

According to the paper, Dominique A. Johnson, 21, and Deontae L. Johnson, 18, both of the 3S600 block of Melcher Avenue, were arrested and charged after a search warrant was executed at their home on Sunday.

Both were charged with heroin possession with intent to deliver, and the elder Johnson was also charged with delivery of a controlled substance, the paper said.

"Dealers are all over the place and when they come into Wheaton to sell to our kids, that's when we take great interest in them,” Wheaton police Cmdr. Jim Volpe told the paper, also saying that the Johnsons are suspected of being long-time heroin dealers.

Dominique Johnson is being held at DuPage County Jail on $11,500 bond, and Deontae on $10,000 bond, the Suburban Life reports. Marijuana was also found at the house, the paper said.
