Underage Drinking, Golf Cart in Grandstands: Police Blotter

Wheaton police reports, June 7-8

SATURDAY, JUNE 8

Golf Cart in the Grandstands

Someone drove a golf cart through the grandstands at the DuPage County Fairgrounds on the 2000 block of West Manchester Road. The cart collided with several wooden tables and metal chairs, according to police who were dispatched to the scene at 9:16 p.m.

Retail Theft

Police charged Claudia Esquivel, 32, of the 26w500 block of Jewel, Winfield, with retail theft. Esquivel was arrested at 12:44 p.m. on the 400 block of South County Farm Road. She was released at the scene.

Underage Drinking

Police charged Avery C. Balogh, 19, of the 400 block of Dorset Place, Glen Ellyn, with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Balogh was arrested at 2:10 a.m. at Harrison and Main Street. Balogh was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and was released later that morning.

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Kelly M. Flynn, 22, of the 2600 block of Cody Court, Aurora, on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear in court in connection with a controlled substance possession charge. Flynn was arrested at 11:57 p.m. on the 400 block of County Farm Road and was taken to the DuPage County Jail, where she remains as of June 18.

Felony Driving While License Revoked

Cynthia A. McLaren, 49, of the 1100 block of East College Avenue, Wheaton, was charged with felony aggravated revoked driver's license. McLaren was arrested at 7:33 p.m. at Harrison and Stoddard while driving a maroon or burgundy 1996 Isuzu Trooper. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and then transferred to the DuPage County Jail, where she was later released.
