UPDATED: Traffic Delayed After Accident on Roosevelt Road

Delays should last until about 3:26 p.m., according to MapQuest's live traffic map. Crews used jaws of life to remove one woman from the car, according to a witness.

One passenger was hospitalized for treatment to "minor injuries" after an accident near the intersection of Naperville and Roosevelt roads Thursday afternoon.

Wheaton Fire Chief Greg Berk said crews only worked with one car on the scene of the accident, and the cause of the incident is unknown.

Traffic delays after an accident on Roosevelt Road, east of Naperville Road, are expected to last until about 3:26 p.m.

A witness on the scene said the accident appeared to be a single-car accident. Local business bystanders extinguished the car fire until crews arrived.

Crews used jaws of life to remove one female from the vehicle, according to the witness.
