Teens Ticketed in "Car-Surfing" Incident

Two teens received traffic violation tickets related to the May 29 "car-surfing" incident in Wheaton, TribLocal reports.

Two Wheaton North High School students received traffic violation tickets related to the May 29 "car-surfing" incident near Northside Park, TribLocal reported Friday.

A 16-year-old  student is expected to make a "full recovery" with minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle while "car surfing" near May 29, District 200 spokesman Erica Loiacono told Patch.

Wheaton investigators learned the , according to a press release from the Wheaton Police Department. He was then hit by the Focus, which another teenage boy drove. The driver and another female passenger were not injured, according to the release.

According to TribLocal, The teens will be charged with violations of Wheaton's city code, non-misdemeanor offenses with fines up to $1,000.
