Snow Blower Jacked, DUI Arrests: Police Blotter

Snow Blower Jacked

A woman reported at 4:11 p.m. that a snowblower was missing from a shed on the 1300 block of South Lorraine Road. On March 1, a building owner contacted her and requested that the snow be removed from the parking lot of the building. When she went to the shed where the snowblower was stored, it was gone.

DUI

  • Police charged Evangelista R. Perez, 52, of the 2000 block of West Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested at about 8:08 p.m. at North Gary Avenue and West Wesley Street while driving a black 1994 Honda Civic. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.
  • Police charged Carl R. Schwarz, 24, of the 3N600 block of Central Court, Addison, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Schwarz was driving a gray 2004 Chrysler Sebring at about 3:24 a.m. near the intersection of Butterfield Road and Cromwell Drive when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.
  • Police charged Taylor D. Venning, 22, of the 6300 block of Winston Drive, Woodridge, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Venning was driving a white 2011 Honda Civic at about 2:21 a.m. near the intersection of Delles and Roosevelt roads when police initiated a traffic stop. Venning was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Rohan J. Tomlin, 38, of the 100 block of North Gary Avenue, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license. He was driving a black 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo at about 1:44 a.m. near the intersection of West Harrison Avenue and North Main Street when police stopped him. Tomlin was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

No Driver's License

  • Police charged Natanael Avendano-Cruz, 26, of the 1600 block of Windsor Court, West Chicago, with driving without a license. Avendano-Cruz was driving a black 2009 Acura MDX at about 12:25 p.m. at West and Evergreen streets when police initiated a traffic stop. Avendano-Cruz was released at the scene.
