Sheriff's Office Searching for Woman, 50

DuPage County Sheriff's Office searches for 50-year-old Bloomingdale woman who was last seen Feb. 1.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from the public in locating a 50-year-old woman who left from the area of Gary & Schick Rd. in unincorporated Bloomingdale.         

Burnessa Buchanan left the area of Gary and Schick in Bloomingdale on Feb. 1. She was last seen at 8:30pm on Feb. 1 near the intersection of 86th Street and Cottage Avenue in Chicago. She has family who lives in the area where she was last seen, but her family has not had any contact with her. The Sheriff’s Office has been investigating and following up trying to find Buchanan, but attempts have been unsuccessful and we are seeking the public’s assistance in locating her.            

Buchanan is an African American woman, 5’6” tall, and weighs 210 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and wears a wig, as shown in the attached photo. She was last seen wearing a dark zip up jacket, brown boots with pompoms on them and a fur black & white leopard print hat, but was not wearing her wig when last seen.
