Sheriff Investigating Fatal Accident Near Glen Ellyn

A man died after hitting a tree on Park Boulevard near Glen Ellyn early Wednesday morning.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the single car accident that was reported at approximately 7:25 this morning on Park Boulevard, south of Butterfield Road in unincorporated Glen Ellyn, according to a press release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle, a Mercedes Benz, was traveling southbound on Park Blvd towards Route 53, when it and its sole occupant left the roadway and struck a tree killing the male driver who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff’s Detectives are continuing the investigating into this incident and the roadway is now open. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 630-407-2400. Further updates will be made as information becomes available.
