A man is charged with production or possession of more than 20, less than 50, marijuana plants.

A Bloomingdale man is charged with production or possession of more than 20 marijuana plants, DuPage County Sheriff John Zaruba announced Thursday.

Detectives on Wednesday arrested Joseph Angelo, 29, after officials followed an anonymous tip he was operating a sophisticated cannabis growing operation inside the residence, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Officials found 42 mature plants and a number of juvenile plants in the basement of the home, along with growing equipment and other drug paraphernalia.

Angelo was booked into the DuPage County Jail and was released after he posted 10 percent of his $20,000.00 bond.
