Sheriff: 2 Men Charged With Identity Theft

The men, one from West Chicago and one from Carol Stream, are accused of making over $600 in purchases with credit cards they stole, police said.

Two men are being held on bond in the DuPage County Jail after being accused of spending over $600 with credit cards they stole, police said.

Michael Bicchinella, 20, of the 29W300 block of Lee Road, West Chicago, was charged with identity theft not exceeding $300, a class 4 felony, and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. Michael Nonnie, 24, of the 800 block of Dugout Trail, Carol Stream, was charged with one felony count of identity theft over $300 but not exceeding $2,000, according to a DuPage County Sheriff's Office press release.

Bicchinella and Nonnie were each taken into custody separately on Tuesday after an investigation into a July 26 burglary to motor vehicle incident in unincorporated West Chicago. Nonnie and Bicchinella are accused of stealing credits cards that were in a wallet left in the vehicle, according to the Sheriff's Office. The two made multiple purchases of merchandise at local stores that exceeded over $600, the press release said.

Nonnie was taken into custody Tuesday morning with the assistance of West Chicago police. He is being held on $3,000 bond. Bicchinella was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon and is being held on $2,000 bond, the release said.
