Property damage

Someone scratched the doors of a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2003 Chevy Cavalier in a driveway in the 2000 block of Creekside Drive in Wheaton between 11 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 17 and 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Someone threw a brick through the window of a business, shattering the window and breaking the store’s neon sign, in the 200 block of Main Street between 8 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 15 and 6:40 a.m. Monday, Apr. 16. According to the police report it did not appear anyone had entered the business when the business owner found the broken window and a brick inside Monday morning, police said.

Someone stole a cell phone from a women’s restroom at the Wheaton Community Center, 1777 Blanchard Street in Wheaton between midnight and 12:40 p.m. Sunday, Apr. 22. The phone is worth $800, police said.

Someone stole a wallet and cell phone from a men’s dressing room at Kohl’s, 401 County Farm Road in Wheaton, between 6:15 and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 18. According to the police report a man left his wallet, containing $10 cash and his cell phone in the dressing room and when he returned to retrieve it, it was gone.

A resident in the 1200 block of Taft Avenue in Wheaton reported someone stole $100 in clothes from a laundry basket under his bed between March 1 and noon Tuesday, Apr. 17.

A resident in the 400 block of Crescent Street reported someone stole $100 cash from their apartment between 7 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 14 and 10 a.m. Monday, Apr. 16, police said.

Someone stole $200 in cosmetics from Ulta, 112 Danada Square West, between 6:12 and 6:34 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 10. According to the police report a store employee found empty packages on the floor when cleaning the store Wednesday morning.

Someone stole a license plate from a car parked in the 2100 block of Roosevelt Road between midnight and 6 a.m. Apr. 1.

Trespassing

A Wheaton couple reported trespassing after a man entered an apartment near Danada Square West, in the 400 block of Chopin Court, around 6 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 21. According to the police report the couple was using the laundry facilities in a vacant apartment after their apartment manager gave them permission. They entered the apartment and saw the man standing inside. When he saw the woman, he ran out the back door, police said.
