Wheaton Police Report Car Break-ins, Property Damage

Someone shattered a window to break into a 2003 Ford Escape in the Atten Park parking lot, in the 1700 block of Wiesbrook Road and steal $5 Tuesday, March 6. According to the police report the offender left several “valuable items,” including a GPS unit, in the car. The burglary occurred between 7 a.m. and 2:25 p.m., police said. The cost of damage is $200, police said.
Someone broke a window of a 1998 Ford Econoline parked in the 300 block of Brookside Circle between 9 p.m. Sunday, March 4 and 9:30 a.m. Monday. The cost of damage is about $250, police said.

Someone scratched the passenger side door and corner panel of a silver 2004 Lexus parked in the 1800 block of Wakeman court between Feb. 3 and Wednesday, Feb. 29. The cost of damage is $500, police said.
