Wheaton Police Report 2 DUI Arrests, Warrant and Reckless Driving
A man reports a reckless driver after reportedly intentional collision on Geneva Road.

1. Report: Reckless driving
A man reported a reckless driver Wednesday, Apr. 25 after a driver in a black Chevrolet “aggressively” tailgated his silver BMW X5 near the intersection of Gary Avenue and Geneva Road around 5:30 p.m. According to the police report the driver of the BMW drove west on Geneva Road, changing lanes to try to get away from the Chevy. When the BMW reached a thru lane near Gary Avenue, the driver of the Chevy sped up next to the BMW. The driver of the BMW reported hearing a “loud thump” on the passenger side of his car, and later found a small dent on the side of the car.

2. Arrests: DUI
Police arrested a Montgomery man for driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol Friday, Apr. 20. Larry Hall, 55, drove a black 1997 Ford Aerostar near the intersection of Naperville and Roosevelt roads around 1 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and taken to Central DuPage Hospital later that morning.

Police arrested a West Chicago man for driving under the influence of alcohol Wednesday, Apr. 25. Labier Lopez, 37, drove a green 1994 Chevy Cavalier near the intersection of Washington Street and Willow Avenue around 11:25 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.
3. Arrest: warrant, contempt of court
Police arrested an Aurora man on a warrant for contempt of court Monday, Apr. 23. Richard Newell, 45, was arrested near the intersection of Main Street and Willow Avenue at 1:30 p.m. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.
