Police Report 1 DUI, 1 Theft on Christmas Eve

Police arrest one Wheaton man on Christmas Eve. Toys stolen from car.

DUI

Police arrested a Wheaton man for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage Saturday, Dec. 24. Michael Dunn, 28, of the west 100 block of Prairie Avenue, drove a black 2008 Ford near the intersection of Jewell Road and Woodlawn Street around 1 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Someone stole Christmas gifts out of the backseat of a Chrysler Sebring in the 1600 block of Illinois Street between 7:30 and 10 p.m. Christmas Eve. The items reported stolen from the unlocked car included a glow book, a glow board, a Mythbusters play set, a Zhu Zhu pet carrying case and an Axe gift set. The total cost of the items is $60, police said.
