Police Investigate Burglaries to Wheaton Businesses

Between Wednesday, Feb. 23 and Monday morning, three Wheaton businesses reported break-ins.

Between Wednesday night on Feb. 23 and Thursday morning, Feb. 24, someone broke a window to break into Oil Zone, 1927 Roosevelt Road. According to a press release from Wheaton police, an unknown amount of money was taken. 

At approximately 1 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, two suspects smashed the front door window of Wheaton Food Mart, 728 Lorraine Road and stole cartons of cigarettes worth several hundred dollars, police said. One suspect is described as a white male with a beard and mustache. Both were wearing heavy coats with hoods, police said. 

Between the late Sunday night, Feb. 27 and early Monday, someone smashed a window to break into Jack Straw’s Pizza, 221 Naperville Road and stole about $35 in cash.
