Police Blotter: iPod, Bike and Light Bulb Thefts

A church reports four cases of stolen lightbulbs, two middle schoolers reported stolen iPods and a resident reported a stolen bike after leaving it locked at a rack for three months.

A church admnistrator at First Baptist Church of Wheaton reported four incidents in which someone stole the flood light bulbs from the front of the church in the 1300 block of Main street. According to the police report, the bulbs were stolen on Apr. 3, 4, 9 and 11.

A Franklin Middle School student reported a stolen iPod, worth $250, on Thursday, Apr. 14. According to the police report, the student left the iPod in his backpack in the gym hall while he attended track practice at Hubble Middle School. When he returned the iPod was gone.

A Monroe Middle School student reported a stolen iPod after leaving it unattended at school on Saturday, Apr. 16. The resident reported that the iPod, worth $300, was taken between 2:15 and 3 p.m. Friday, Apr. 15.

A Wheaton resident in the 200 block of Cross St. reported a stolen bike on Sunday, Apr. 17. According to the police report, the bike was taken between January and April when it was locked to a rack at the Wheaton Public Library.
