Police Blotter: Graffiti, Break-In and Theft Reports From July 2-8
The following items were taken from the Wheaton police blotter.
Graffiti:
Saturday, July 2: Someone spray painted "unidentifiable markings" on a shed in the 1100 block of President Street around 2:40 p.m.
About an hour later, according to police, someone spray painted a white circle with a star in the center resembling the Star of David on the street in the intersection of Childs and Pierce Streets.

Friday, July 8: Someone spray painted graffiti on a pillar in the 200 block of Wesley Avenue around noon.
Theft, damage to property:

Someone stole a handicapped sign from Atten Park around 1 a.m. Friday, Jul. 8.
Someone stole a Chariot brand double stroller left on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Front Street between 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jul. 6 and 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jul. 7. The stroller was worth $200, according to the police report.
Someone stole a boys BMX bike, worth $189, that was left unlocked in the 900 block of Lorraine Road between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jul. 5.
Someone smashed the window of a commercial business in the 600 block of County Farm Road and stole $100 cash between 9:00 and 11:43 p.m. Tuesday, Jul. 5.
Someone smashed a window to break into the old Hubble school, 603 Main Street, to break into a vending machine and steal “multiple items” between 4 p.m. Jul. 1 and 5:39 a.m. Jul. 5.
