Police Blotter: DUI Stops and Other Traffic Troubles

The following arrest reports were taken from the Wheaton police blotter.

DUI
Jeremy Bogan of the 1400 block of Coloma Place in Wheaton was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia Sunday, Aug. 21. Bogan, 33, drove a white 2009 Toyota Tacoma near the intersection of 22nd and Prospect streets around 2:30 a.m. when police stopped him. He was issued local ordinance citations for the drug paraphernalia and drugs, booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. 

Police arrested a 41-year-old woman from Pleasant Prairie, Wis., on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage Sunday, Aug. 21. Janine Floresarecco drove a green 1988 Jaguar near the intersection of Naperville Road and Farnham Street around midnight when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Carina Perez, 20, of the 1400 block of Stonebridge Circle in Wheaton was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and illegal consumption of alcohol Saturday, Aug. 20. Perez drove a bronze 1998 Mazda Protégé in the 2100 block of Roosevelt Road around 9:36 p.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released around 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21.

Police arrested a Burr Ridge man on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving while license revoked, aggravated obstructing justice, operation of an uninsured vehicle and failure to signal on Saturday, Aug. 20. Eric Leroy Ware, 30, drove a white 1997 Jaguar near the intersection of Reber Street and Willow Avenue around 8:40 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21, and taken to DuPage County Jail later that day.

Curtis Baker, 49, of Rochester, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage Friday, Aug. 19. Baker drove a silver 2009 Pontiac G6 near the intersection of Route 38 and President Street around 1 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Isidro Cuautle, 44, of Warrenville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and failure to signal at the intersection of Farnham Street and Naperville Road Wednesday, Aug. 17. Police stopped Cuautle, who drove a blue Neon Plymouth, around 10:30 p.m. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.
 
Traffic
Police arrested Charleston Heard of the 600 block of Knollwood Drive, Wheaton on charges of driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle Saturday, Aug. 20. Heard, 20, drove a white Ford Taurus near the intersection of Fapp Circle and Roosevelt Road around 4:30 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

Police arrested Manuel Ortiz of Lisle, on charges of driving with no valid license and operating an uninsured vehicle Friay, Aug. 19. Ortiz, 25, drove a black Chevy Cavalier near the intersection of Main Street and Roosevelt Road around 8:20 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Police arrested Timothy Hollins, 18, of Warrenville,  on a charge of driving without a valid driver’s license on Friday, Aug. 19. He was arrested and booked at the Wheaton Police Department at 5 p.m. and released later that day.
