Wheaton police reports, Aug. 5-7

TUESDAY, AUG. 7

Teen Cited for Retail Theft

Police issued a local ordinance citation for retail theft to a Wheaton teen at Whole Foods Market, 151 Rice Lake Square, around 7:20 p.m. He was cited with the theft of $2 in "consumables" and released on the scene.

Suspended License

Police charged Patrick Garner of Wheaton with driving on a suspended license. Garner, 19, of the 800 block of Dawes Avenue, drove a black 1994 Lincoln near the intersection of President Street and Dawes Avenue around 4 p.m. when police stopped him. He was released on the scene.

Forgery

Police charged a Chicago man with two counts of forgery and illegal credit card use. Bayron Gonzalez, 45, was cited at the DuPage County Jail around 12 p.m.

MONDAY, AUG. 6

Intoxication

Police charged three Wheaton residents with trespassing and a railroad intoxication violation in the 400 block of Front Street. Michael Hardin, 49, Lijah Graham, 35 and Linda Valez, 32, all of the 700 block of Liberty Drive, were cited in the 400 block of Front Street around 10:40 p.m. Graham and Valez were booked at the Wheaton Police Department and taken to DuPage County Jail. Hardin was detained at the Wheaton police station.

Retail Theft

Police charged David Cloughley, 46, of Winfield with retail theft at 501 County Farm Rd. with the theft of $57 in "consumables" around 4 p.m. He was cited at the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, 501 County Farm Rd., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

Disorderly Conduct

  • Police issued a local ordinance citation for disorderly conduct to a 67-year-old Wheaton man around noon. He was cited in the 2100 block of Roosevelt Road and released on the scene.
  • Police charged Taya Lucas of the 1300 block of Taft Avenue in Wheaton with disorderly conduct. Kucas, 44, was cited near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Blanchard Street around 8:45 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Suspended License

Police charged a Chicago man with driving on a suspended license. Clevon Jackson, 39, drove a black 2000 Chrysler Concorde near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Madison Street around 2 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

SUNDAY, AUG. 5

DUI

Naperville police charged Susan Frances Kopek, 47, of the first block of Kensington Court in Wheaton, at 2:32 a.m. near East Jefferson Avenue and south Washington Street, police said. She was charged with crossing double yellow lines and driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.
