DUI

Gerardo Hernandez, 53, of West Chicago was arrested Saturday, Sept. 10 for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage. Hernandez drove a red 2001 Chevy Suburban near the intersection of Erie Street and Roosevelt Road around 1 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Frances Pearson, 64 of the 700 block of Durfee Road, Wheaton, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage Thursday, Sept. 8. Pearson drove a red 2010 Toyota Highlander near the intersection of County Farm Road and Fapp Circle around 1 a.m. when police stopped him. She was released from the Wheaton Police Department later that morning.

Police arrested a 33-year-old West Chicago man for driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid driver’s license and improper lane usage Wednesday, Sept. 7. Antonio Lopez drove a gray 1999 Chevy Blazer near the intersection of Butterfield and Orchard roads around 6 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Police charged a Wheaton man with two counts of fleeing a police officer, resisting a peace officer, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, disobeying a police officer, squealing tires, failure to signal and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident Monday, Sept. 5. Pedro Lopez, 46, of the 1500 block of Woodcutter Lane drove a black 2008 Ford Focus near the intersection of County Farm and Roosevelt roads around 4 p.m. the accident occurred. He was arrested at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Westhaven Street at 4:22 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and taken to DuPage County Jail.

Drugs

Police issued a local ordinance citation to a 33-year-old West Chicago man for marijuana possession Monday, Sept. 5. He was stopped for speeding in a green 2005 Dodge Caravan near the intersection of Roosevelt and Naperville roads around 2:30 a.m. and released on the scene.

Trespassing

Police arrested a Winfield man for trespassing a motor vehicle Tuesday, Sept. 13. Timothy Thompson, 59, was arrested at 501 County Farm Road around 1 a.m. Tuesday for tampering with a red 1988 Toyota Camry, a silver 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo, a silver 2005 Chevy Cobalt and a black 2009 Toyota Camry, according to the police report. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested a 39-year-old Wheaton woman for trespassing in the 1400 block of Roosevelt Road on Friday, Sept. 9. Amy Berger, of the 1000 block of Illinois Street was arrested at 7:35 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released at her home later that night.

Suspended license

Police arrested Lionel Lane, 51, of the 200 block of Cole Avenue, Wheaton, for driving on a suspended license Monday, Sept. 12. He was stopped in a red Chrysler Sebring at 7:40 a.m. near the intersection of Indiana and President streets. He was released from the Wheaton Police Department later that morning.
