Police Blotter: DUI, Drug and License Arrests

The following items were taken from the Wheaton police blotter last week.

DUI

Police arrested a Winfield woman for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage Friday, Apr. 29. Police stopped Heather Armstrong, 25, in a black 2001 Toyota Celica near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Wheaton Avenue around 2 a.m. Friday. She was arrested at the intersection of Carlton Street and Roosevelt Road, booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning. 

Drugs

Police arrested JaJuan McCoy of Hoffman Estates for two counts of the manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance Tuesday, Apr. 26. McCoy, 23, was arrested around 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, in the 2000 block of Main Street. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department at 10:30 p.m. and taken to the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office later that night.

Police arrested Miroslava Moreno Rojas de Nelson of Wheaton for driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle Monday, Apr. 25. Moreno Rojas de Nelson, 41, of the 900 bock of President Street, was arrested while driving a red 2000 VW Beetle near the intersection of Forest and Howard streets around 3:45 p.m. Monday. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that afternoon.
