Church Sign Vandalized

Someone defaced the cedar sign in front of a church in the 900 block of Union Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Feb. 9 and 7 a.m. Feb. 10.

DUI, Drugs

Police charged Nicholas Arias, 19, of Lombard with driving under the influence of drugs. He drove a gray 2006 Hyundai Tucson near the intersection of President Street and Taft Avenue around 1:35 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

DUI

  • Police charged Seth Andrew, 29, of Lombard with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a black 2006 Nissan Murano near the intersection of Illinois and President streets around 1:35 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Anthony Morano, 24, of Carol Stream with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a black 1996 Toyota Corolla near the intersection of Bloomingdale and Geneva roads around 2:30 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Driving Without a License

Police charged Lauren Allen, 22, of Aurora with driving without a license. She drove a white 2001 Dodge Stratus near the intersection of Leask Lane and Butterfield Road around 9:10 a.m. when police stopped her. She was released on the scene.

Suspended License

Police charged Donald Pisano, 37, of Cicero with driving on a suspended license. He drove a white 2007 Dodge Charger near the intersection of Scott and Wesley streets around 9 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

FRIDAY, FEB. 8

Cell Phone Stolen

Someone stole a $200 cell phone from behind a desk at 501 College Ave. around 7:15 p.m.

Suspended License

  • Police charged Maung Hia, 26, of the 1300 block of North Main Street in Wheaton with driving on a suspended license. He drove a gray 2005 Mazda 6 near the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Roosevelt Road around 7:30 p.m. when police stopped him. He was released on the scene.
  • Police charged Daniel Sullivan, 51, of the 500 block of West Evergreen Street in Wheaton with driving on a suspended license. He drove a black 2011 Nissan Murano near the intersection of Evergreen Street and Sunnyside Drive around 7 p.m. when police stopped him. He was released on the scene.

THURSDAY, FEB. 7

Suspended License

Police charged Darrin Dybas, 36, of the 0-100 block of Kensington Circle in Wheaton with driving on a suspended license and a warrant related to driving on a suspended license. He drove a gold 1999 Toyota Corolla in the 1000 block of Sunderland Court around 4 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.  

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 6

Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia

Police issued a local ordinance citation to Brittany Norton, 30, of the 1000 block of Briarbrook Drive in Wheaton related to marijuana possession and charged her with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was arrested near her home around 9 p.m. and released on the scene.

SUNDAY, FEB. 3

Suspended License, Drugs

Police charged Monique Scott, 20, of Maywood with driving on suspended license and gave her two local ordinance citations related to marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. She drove a silver 2000 Toyota Corolla near the intersection of Polo Drive and Roosevelt Road around 10 p.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

THURSDAY, JAN. 31

Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia

Police issued local ordinance citations of marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia to Alec Hatch, 30, of Geneva. He was arrested at the intersection of Main Street and Roosevelt Road around 10:30 p.m. and released on the scene.
