Stolen Bike Found in Park

A woman reported someone stole her bike from the rack at the Wheaton Public Library between 10 and 10:30 a.m., after she found it in Adams Park around 12:30 p.m.

Police Report 3 Bikes Stolen

Wheaton police reported the following bike thefts:

  • Someone stole a $200 bike locked to a gate in the 1300 block of Lorraine Road between 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 19 and 8 p.m. Sunday, June 24.
  • Someone stole a $1,550 bike from a home in the 600 block of Crescent Street between 9:30 a.m. and 12:35 p.m. The bike was found in the 300 block of the 300 block of Fir Court in Glen Ellyn the next day.
  • Someone stole a $600 bike from a garage in the 1300 block of Santa Rosa Court between 12:15 and 12:25 p.m.

Beers Stolen from Garage

Someone stole beer from a fridge in a garage in the 0-100 block of Maywood Trail Saturday night. According to the police report, someone went into the garage between 10:10 and 10:20 p.m. and took about eight Coronas and a tray from the fridge.

Phone, GPS Stolen from Unlocked Car

Someone stole a $100 cell phone and a $100 GPS unit from an unlocked 2007 Mercury Montego parked in the 1300 block of Salford Court between 9 p.m. Friday, June 22 and 9:30 a.m. Satruday, June 23.

Flower Pot Theft

Someone stole two flower pots from a resident’s yard in the 700 block of Stoddard Street between 8:30 p.m. Friday, June 22 and 8 a.m. Saturday, June 23.

FRIDAY, JUNE 22

Laptop Stolen from Bedroom

Someone stole an $1,100 laptop from a woman’s nightstand in her home in the 800 block of Arbor Avenue around 1 a.m. Friday, June 22.

THURSDAY, JUNE 21

Bike Theft

Someone stole a $475 bike from the parking garage at 232 Wesley Street in downtown Wheaton between 7:15 and 8:41 p.m.

Illegal Debit Card Use

Someone used a man’s debit card to shop online around 4:40 p.m.

Wheel Caps Stolen

Someone stole the wheel center caps from a Honda Accord parked in the 2100 block of Roosevelt Road between 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 and 4 a.m. Thursday, June 21.

Attempted Break-in

A resident in the 1000 block of Wheaton Avenue reported he heard two people open the doors of his Toyota Sequoia around 3 a.m. When he went outside the people ran away.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20

Bike Stolen at Pool

Someone stole a $50 bike from the rack at Northside Pool, 1500 West St., between 2 and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20.

TUESDAY, JUNE 19

Watch Stolen from Unlocked Car

A watch and some coins were taken from an unlocked black 2004 Toyota parked in the 100 block of Main Street between 9 p.m. Monday, June 18 and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 19.

SUNDAY, JUNE 17

Laptop, Clothes and Discs Missing from Foyer

Someone stole a $1,000 laptop, $1,000 in clothes and $1,000 in media discs from the foyer of an apartment building in the 400 block of Front Street between 9 and 11:20 a.m. According to the police report, the items were left in the foyer for the owner to pick up.
