Trespassing

A resident reported trespassing after he confronted three people standing at his car in the 1100 block of Roosevelt Road around 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. The complainant saw a male in a dark hoodie at the driver’s side door of his black 2003 Chevy Blazer and two others in hoodies by the trunk and passenger door, police said. The car owner asked them what they were doing by his car and the man at the driver door turned around and started walking away while the other two ran east on Roosevelt Road, police said. The driver door was ajar, but nothing was taken, police said.

Break-ins, theft

 Someone stole $1 in coins from a resident’s unlocked minivan that was parked in a driveway in the 600 block of Blanchard Road between 9:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28 and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29.

A Wheaton Warrenville South High School student reported a stolen iPhone Monday, Nov. 29. According to the police report the student left his phone on a table at lunch or in his gym locker.

Someone stole a Garmin GPS unit from an unlocked 2000 Honda Odyssey parked in the 400 block of Front Street around 4 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22.

Someone stole a case of beer from a refrigerator in a garage in the 1900 block of Chippewa Drive Saturday, Nov. 19. According to the police report the resident heard a loud noise at 6:45 p.m. in their garage and found that someone had taken the beer, police said.

Property damage

Someone threw a rock through the screen door of a house in the 1500 block of Coloma Court around 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25.

Someone defaced a silver 2009 Hyundai while it was parked in a driveway 2000 block of Chatham Drive between 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 and 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21.

Someone damaged a mailbox in the 1900 block of Dorset Drive in Wheaton between 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 and 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18.
