Police Blotter: Battery and Property Damage

The following reports are from the Wheaton Police Department.

Property Damage

Someone pried off and stole a tire bearing cap off a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of  Briarbrook Drive on March 31. Three other bearing caps showed damage. No damage estimate was reported.

A window was broken on a Ford truck parked at Monroe School. The incident was believed to have happened between 5 p.m. on March 30 and 1:30 p.m. on April 1.

A resident in the 600 block of Glendale Avenue reported a brick was thrown through the front glass window around midnight on March 31.

Someone poured an unknown liquid on a 2006 Acura parked in the 2000 block of Golfview Court between 9:30 p.m. on March 28 and 2 a.m. on March 29. The liquid caused $3,500 in damage, police said.

Burglary

Someone took a license plate, two pairs of sunglasses and a hat from a 2012 Toyota parked in the 2000 block of Hull between 4 p.m. on March 31 and 7:30 a.m. on April 1. The vehicle was unlocked.

Battery

Todd Scheel, 49, of the 1000 block of College, was charged with battery after his arrest around 7:40 p.m. on March 28. He was released on bond.

Criminal Damage to Property

Darron Cullum Jr., 18, of the 1000 block of Briarbrook, was charged with criminal damage to property after his arrest around 6 p.m. on March 27. He was released on bond.
