Police Blotter: Arrests, Aug. 4-7

The following items were taken from the Wheaton police blotter.

Police issued a local ordinance citation to a 58-year-old Warrenville woman for retail theft around 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7 at 151 Rice Lake Square. She was released on the scene.

Police arrested Benny Bolanos, 35, of Chicago for driving under the influence of alcohol, no valid license and operating an uninsured vehicle Saturday, Aug. 6. Bolanos drove a blue 1995 Dodge Neon near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Community Drive around 11:00 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested Felipe Sanchez, 25, of Hanover Park for driving under the influence of alcohol Saturday, Aug. 6. Sanchez drove a blue 2007 Hyundai Tiburon near the intersection of Naperville Road and Elm Street around 1:20 a.m. Saturday when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested Breanna Pape, 18, of West Chicago for driving under the influence of alcohol Friday, Aug. 5. Pape drove a silver 2001 Dodge Neon near the intersection of Roosevelt and Warrenville roads around 3 a.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested Michael Rubin, 49, of the 800 block of Crescent Street in Wheaton for driving under the influence of alcohol Friday, Aug. 5. Rubin drove a golf 2007 Chevy near the intersection of President Street and Geneva Road around 12:30 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police issued a local ordinance citation to an 18-year-old Wheaton man for possession of drug paraphernalia around 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4. He was cited in the 600 block of Delles Road in Wheaton and released on the scene, according to the police report.

Police issued two local ordinance citations to a 19-year-old West Chicago woman for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia Thursday, Aug. 4. She was cited near the intersection of Roosevelt and Naperville roads around 10 p.m. Thursday and released on the scene.

Police arrested a 58-year-old Downers Grove woman for driving with no valid driver’s license and failure to yield near the intersection of Naperville and Pershing roads Thursday, Aug. 4. She drove a white 1999 Chevy near the intersection around 5:30 p.m. when police stopped her. She was released on the scene.

Police arrested Ayaz Ahmed, 23, of Glen Ellyn for driving on a suspended license, illegal license use and speeding around 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4. Ahmed drove a silver 1996 Honda Accord near the intersection of 22nd Street and Dundee Road when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Police arrested a Wheaton man on a warrant for retail theft around 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4. Robert Davison, 31, of the 700 block of Liberty Drive, was arrested at the intersection of Bridge Street and Liberty Drive. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released to DuPage County Jail later that morning, police said.
