Police Blotter: 2 DUI Charges, License and Trespassing

SUNDAY, JULY 8

Wheaton Police Report 3 License Charges

  • Police charged Cheryl Griffin, of the 700 block of Childs Street in Wheaton, with driving on a suspended license. Griffin, 48, drove a black 2000 Isuzu Rodeo near the intersection of Childs Street and Gables Boulevard around 8 a.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Naivi Huerta of West Chicago with driving on a suspended license around 2:41 a.m. Huerta, 32, drove a silver 2005 Cadillac near the intersection of Butterfield Road and Briarcliffe Boulevard when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Rene Rojas-Martinez of Bolingbrook with driving without a license around 2:18 a.m. Rojas-Martinez, 35, drove a silver 1992 Toyota Camry near the intersection of Naperville and Butterfield roads when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Wheaton Woman Faces DUI Charges

Police charged a 27-year-old Wheaton woman with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transport of liquor. Kristina Williams, of the 500 block of Turf Lane, drove a blue 1994 Chevy Caprice near the intersection of Lambert Road and Windsor Drive around 2:40 a.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

SATURDAY, JULY 7

Glen Ellyn Man Charged for DUI

Police charged Preston Hayward, 21, of Glen Ellyn with driving under the influence of alcohol. Hayward drove a black 1995 Ford Mustang near the intersection of Farnham Street and Naperville Road around 1:15 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

FRIDAY, JULY 6

Trespassing Citations

Police issued local ordinance citations to three West Chicago residents for trespassing at the Wheaton Center Apartments around 11:15 p.m. They were all released on the scene.
