Police Arrest Wheaton Man for Weapon Use, Others for License Violations

The following items are from the Wheaton Police Department.

Police arrested a Chicago man for no valid driver’s license Wednesday, Jan. 18. Darnell Ratcliff, 22, drove a black 2002 Ford Explorer near the intersection of Naperville and West Loop roads when police stopped him around 1:20 a.m. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested a West Chicago woman for driving with a suspended license Tuesday, Jan. 17. Tesia Johnson, 24, drove a silver 2001 Hyundai Sonata near the intersection of Main and Willow streets around noon when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

Police issued a local ordinance citation to a Wheaton man for illegal weapon use and marijuana possession Saturday, Jan. 14. Andrew McClure, 21, of the 1100 block of Briarcliffe Road drove a red 1997 Subaru near the intersection of Blanchard and Elm streets around 12 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested Eduardo Gonzalez of Carol Stream for driving with an invalid license Friday, Jan. 13. Gonzalez, 23, drove a red 1996 Ford Explorer near in the 800 block of Geneva Road around 1 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Police arrested Leonel Tizapa of Wheaton for driving with no valid license and disobeying a traffic light Thursday, Jan. 12. Tizapa, 19, of the 100 block of Roosevelt Road, drove a gray 2002 Ford Explorer near the intersection of Front and Main streets around noon when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.
