Police: $450 in Liquor Stolen, Rock Breaks School Window, Graffiti and More

Theft

Someone stole $450 in liquor from Dominick’s, 91 Danada Square East around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 27. According to the police report a man put the liquor in his cart and left without paying.

Someone stole a BMX bike, worth $100, that was left unsecured at a bike rack at Monroe Middle School Friday, March 23. Police said the bike was taken between 7:45 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Someone stole a $700 flat screen TV, a $100 bike and a $150 coffee brewer from a home in the 1300 block of Woodcutter Lane between 7 a.m. Feb. 1 and 7 a.m. Feb. 15.

Property damage

Someone sprayed graffiti on the back of a home in the 1400 block of Pembroke Lane in Wheaton around 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 27.

Someone dented the trunk of a 2000 Subaru parked near the intersection of Carlton Street and Liberty Drive Monday, March 26. According to the police report the damage occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Someone used a tool to try and pry open the door of a 2006 Hyundai in the 1200 block of Briarbrook Drive between 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24 and 6 a.m. Sunday. According to the police report the attempted break-in was unsuccessful, and the car’s doors had minor damage.

Someone threw a rock through a classroom window at Whittier Elementary School between 6 p.m. Friday, March 23 and 3 p.m. Monday. The cost of damage is $300, police said.
