$5,000 Panels Stolen From Elevator

Someone stole $5,000 in wood panels from an elevator in the 100 block of Liberty Drive around 12:30 p.m.

Public Intoxication, Obstructing an Officer

Police issued local ordinance citations of public intoxication and obstructing an officer to Geraldo Valle, 24, of the 700 block of Liberty Drive. Valle was cited in the 200 block of Karlskoga around 2 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

DUI, Resisting Arrest

Police charged Guillermo Urbide, 32, of Glendale Heights with an FTA warrant for DUI and resisting arrest. He was cited at around 9 a.m. and taken to DuPage County Jail.

MONDAY, AUG. 20

Attempted Break-In

Someone tried to break into a home in the 800 block of Golf Lane between 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17 and 3 p.m. Monday. The resident told police someone tried to pry the back door open.

Police Report 2 Cell Phone Thefts

• A man reported someone stole his $300 cell phone at the DuPage County courthouse around 3 p.m. after he hid it in the bushes outside the entrance. According to the police report, when deputies told the man he could not take the phone into the courthouse, he hid it in the bushes and returned 10 minutes later to retrieve it but it was gone.
• Someone stole a $600 cell phone from the Verizon store in the 100 block of Geneva Road between 1:08 and 2:08 p.m.

Police Report 2 Bike Thefts

• Someone stole a $100 bike from the rack at Wheaton Public Library, 225 Cross St., around 2:30 p.m.
• Someone stole a $300 bike from a house in the 0-100 block of Mitchell Circle between 11:15 a.m. and noon.
