Missing Woman from Wisonsin Turns Up in Wheaton
82-year-old Caledonia woman went missing Monday and was found a day later in a Wheaton grocery store.
Authorities found an elderly woman in a Wheaton grocery story a day after she went missing in Wisconsin, according to the Daily Herald.
The story, which the Daily Herald picked up from The Journal Times of Racine, states that Jean Fox, 82, of Caledonia, Wis., left her home Monday afternoon to go shopping. A family member said that Alzheimer’s disease runs in the family, and that Fox was displaying signs of memory loss.
But Fox was found less than a day later — on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 24, 2013, when she collapsed in a Wheaton grocery store about 80 miles from her home. Authorities said the woman, who said she thought she was in Racine, Wis., later was reunited with her daughter at an Illinois hospital.
