Missing from Wheaton Since September, Man Found Safe

The 56-year-old man was located Wednesday, the same day that Warrenville Police sent out a release asking for help in finding him.

A 56-year-old man reported as missing to the Warrenville Police Department in September, last seen in Wheaton, was found safe on Wednesday mere hours after Warrenville police issued a press release asking for help in locating him.

"The missing adult indicated in this morning's press release has been safely located," Laura Schwarting, administrative assistant to the chief, wrote in an e-mail.

According to the paper, Eugene T. Chalus was reported missing on Sep. 19 and had no contact wtih family members for the subsequent five and a half months, unusual behavior for him.
