Man Hops Into Woman's Car at Red Light, Retail Theft: Police Blotter

Wheaton police reports, Sept. 6-11

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11

Retail Theft

Police said they charged Michael Hardin, 49, of the 700 block of Liberty Drive in Wheaton, with retail theft at Jewel, 2031 N. Main St., around 7:30 p.m. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Suspended License

Police said they charged John Ridgway, 51, of Sandwich, with driving on a suspended license, suspended registration and two warrants for failure-to-appear offenses. Ridgway drove a white 1996 Jeep Cherokee near the intersection of Cole and Main streets around 2:20 p.m. when police stopped him, according to reports. He was taken to DuPage County Jail that night.

Drug Paraphernalia

Police said they issued a local ordinance citation for possession of drug paraphernalia to Weaver Parrish, 18, of Aurora. He was cited near Butterfield and Orchard roads around 2:10 a.m. and released on the scene.

Revoked License

Police said they charged Tyler Marlon, 45, of Chicago, with driving on a revoked license. He drove a red 2001 GMC Yukon near the intersection of Lorraine and Roosevelt roads around 12:30 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 10

Man Hops Into Woman's Car at Red Light

A woman reported trespassing after a man opened the passenger door of her car and sat down while she was waiting at a red light near the intersection of Liberty Drive and West Street around 7:30 a.m., according to reports. Police said the man was standing outside her car, then opened the door and began sitting down. When she began screaming at him to get out, he said “I’m sorry,” several times before leaving, police said.

Suspended License

Police said they charged Sylvia Aleman, 52, of Aurora, with driving on a suspended license. Aleman drove a gray 1994 Jeep Cherokee near Gary and Harrison avenues around 4:45 p.m. when police said they stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 6

Marijuana, Intent to Deliver

Police said they charged David Rodriguez, 27, of Chicago with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver near the intersection of Blanchard and Wilson around 7:40 p.m. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and taken to DuPage County Jail, according to reports.
