Man Dies in Rollover Accident Near Glen Ellyn

An Addison man was pronounced dead on the scene of a rollover accident on Route 53, just south of Butterfield Road around 4:40 a.m. Sunday.

The is currently investigating a single car rollover accident that occurred around 4:40 a.m. Sunday at Route 53, south of Butterfield Rd. in unincorporated Glen Ellyn.

According to a press release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, a Dodge Durango rolled over on Route 53 at Arboretum Drive, just south of Butterfield Road, killing an Addison man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating the incident and updates will be made when information becomes available, also pending notifications of next of kin, according to the release.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 630-407-2400.
