Man Charged With DUI, Hit and Run in Wheaton: Police Blotter
The following people were charged with driving under the influence in Wheaton.
FRIDAY, AUG. 30
Hit and Run, DUI
Lukas A. Cerny, 21, of the 10S200 block of Skyline, Burr Ridge, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and hit and run. Cerny was arrested at 6:23 p.m. at Warrenville Avenue and Shaffner Road, according to a police report. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that evening.
DUI Alcohol
Police charged James D. Brooks, 48, of the 1800 block of Somerset Lane, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Brooks was driving a blue 2004 Acura MDX at 2:49 a.m. at Naperville and Butterfield roads when police initiated a traffic stop. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

MONDAY, AUG. 26
DUI Alcohol
Police charged Matthew J. Fluhr, 25, of the 500 block of Timber Trail, Carol Stream, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Fluhr was driving a silver or aluminum 2011 Subaru Legacy at 12:22 a.m. at Hale and Front Street when police initiated a traffic stop. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
