Hit and Run, DUI, Felony Theft: Police Blotter

Wheaton police reports, Dec. 7-9

SUNDAY, DEC. 9

DUI

Police charged Marrio Butler, 35, of Chicago with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a white 2009 Mitsubishi Galant near the intersection of Main Street and Roosevelt Road around 1:20 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

DUI

Police charged Michael Lococo, 25, of Elmwood Park with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a silver 2012 Dodge Stratus near the intersection of Blanchard Street and Roosevelt Road around 4 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Hungry Man's Break-in

Someone broke a window to get into a building in the 1400 block of South Naperville Road and make some food. Police said the intruder broke a window on the north side of the building that leads to the lower level, made their way to the kitchen and prepared and ate about $50 in food between 5 p.m. Dec. 7 and 10 a.m.

Slingshot Through Window

A resident in the 800 block of North Washington Street reported someone broke his window between 2 and 4 a.m. Police said a slingshot may have been what broke the glass.

FRIDAY, DEC. 7

Warrant, Contempt of Court

Police charged Mark Liebing, 35, of the 100 block of West Street in Wheaton with a warrant for contempt of court. He was arrested at the Wheaton Police Department at 4:30 p.m. and released later that day.

Man Cons Cashier for Free Food

A man stole $30 from a business in the 800 block of Butterfield Road after he pulled a fast one on a cashier by manipulating dollar bills and running away, police said.

Hit and Run, Driving Without a License

Police charged Rolando Pedraza, 49, of West Chicago with a hit and run and driving without a license near the intersection of Ellis and Lincoln avenues. She was arrested and booked at the police department at 12:15 p.m. and released later that day. 

Felony Retail Theft

Police charged Rachel Adderly, 29, and Velvette Newman, 50, both of Carol Stream with felony retail theft. Police arrested the two women around 7:45 p.m. in the 400 block of County Farm Road. They were booked at the Wheaton Police Department and taken to DuPage County Jail that night.
