Former Wheaton Professor Returns to Court for Discovery Hearing in Child Porn Case July 31

Former Wheaton College professor Donald Ratcliff appears for status hearing in child pornography case. He returns to court Tuesday, July 31.

Following child pornography charges, former Wheaton College professor Donald Ratcliff, 61, appeared for a hearing in DuPage County court Tuesday morning and will return to court Tuesday, July 31 for a discovery hearing.

Following child pornography charges, Ratcliff has finished a psychosexual evaluation and complied with the rules of his release from DuPage County Jail, prohibiting contact with minors, the Internet and smart phones, his attorney told DuPage County Judge John Kinsella at a May 2 hearing.

He last May 2, where his attorney Dan Collins said Ratcliff has completed the evaluation and is now "in treatment." The results of the evaluation were not disclosed.

Ratcliff to seven counts of aggravated possession of child pornography and three weapons-related charges March 29.

Carol Stream police arrested Ratcliff March 1 after investigators tracked pornography downloads to Ratcliff's computer and recovered five computer hard drives and hundreds of DVDs that included images and videos of child rape, fondling and sexually suggestive dancing by girls as young as preschool age, according to prosecutors.

According to a , the college terminated his employment March 14.
