'Flash Mob' Nabs Over $1,000 in Clothing From Town Square Shop

An "organized flash mob" recently took $1,083 worth of clothing from a store in Town Square Wheaton, according to a police report.

The incident occurred at 10:30 a.m. March 28 and involved a mob of seven people, a store employee told police at about 5 p.m. that day. They entered the business through the "inner circle doors" of Town Square Wheaton and immediately targeted certain merchandise displays.

Further information, including suspect descriptions, were not immediately available at the time of this report. Other large retail thefts of clothing were reported in March at Geneva Commons in Kane County.
