Felony Retail Theft, DUI: Police Blotter

Wheaton police reports, March 1-7

THURSDAY, MARCH 7

Wine Through the West Doors

A grocery store on the 500 block of South County Farm Road at 10:46 a.m. reported the theft of two to three bottles of wine from the day before. A store employee reviewed surveillance video and observed a male suspect enter the store through the west entrance at 3:45 p.m. March 6. The man took the bottles of wine off a liquor department shelf and placed them into a shopping cart. He then pushed the cart to a different aisle, placed the bottles into his jacket and left the store through the west doors without purchasing anything. The bottles of wine were valued at $90.

Traffic Warrant Arrest

La Grange police charged Roderick M. Young, 38, of the 0S500 block of White Burch Lane in Wheaton, was arrested around 12:06 p.m. near the intersection of Ellington and Ogden avenues, police said. He was stopped for speeding and arrested on a traffic warrant out of DuPage County.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6

Felony Retail Theft

Police charged Ju Hye Yoon, 19, of the 600 block of East Harrison Avenue, with felony retail theft. Yoon was arrested at 5 p.m. on the 600 block of South County Farm Road. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and transferred to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office later that night.

SATURDAY, MARCH 2

DUI

Police charged Ralph W. Conner, 34, of the 300 block of North 5th Avenue, Maywood, with driving under the influence of alcohol and felony possession of a controlled substance. Conner was driving a maroon or burgundy 1998 Mercury Sable at about 1:08 a.m. near the intersection of Butterfield and East Loop roads when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and transferred to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office later that morning.

FRIDAY, MARCH 1

Possession of Cannabis, Drug Paraphernalia

Police charged Graham F. Doyle, 21, of the first block of 22W Glen Valley Drive, Glen Ellyn, with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Doyle was arrested at 9:16 p.m. at Geneva Road and President Street. He was released at the scene.
