Federal indictment charges 18 alleged gang members, seven from the Chicago area, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday that a Wheaton man was charged in a federal indictment of 18 alleged gang members from the Wheels of Soul motorcycle gang, seven of whom are from the Chicago area. The alleged gang members were charged in a racketeering indictment handed down by a federal grand jury in St. Louis on June 9.

Allan Hunter, 33, is charged in the indictment with conspiracy to commit murder for taking part in an alleged plan in February to take out members of a rival Chicago motorcycle gang with a pipe bomb, the Tribune reports. The bombing never took place, according to the indictment.
