Endangering Child's Life, Felony Drugs, DUI and Aggravated Assault: Police Blotter

Wheaton police reports, Sept. 21-23

SUNDAY, SEPT. 23

Aggravated Assault

Police charged Valerie Garrett, 49, of the 1100 block of Roosevelt Road in Wheaton with aggravated assault. She was arrested at her home around 3 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

DUI

Police charged Sherry Teruty, 27, of Melrose Park with driving under the influence of alcohol. She drove a silver 2010 Honda Civic near the intersection of Briarcliffe Drive and Roosevelt Road around 4:20 a.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Suspended, Revoked License Charges

  • Police charged Humberto Santin, 54, of Chicago with driving on a suspended license. He drove a blue 2002 Chevy Astro near the intersection of Lorraine and Roosevelt roads around 1:45 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Raymundo Rosales-Ramirez, 28, of West Chicago with driving with a revoked license. He drove a white 2001 Chevy Suburban near the intersection of Polo Circle and Roosevelt Road around 12:20 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Eduardo Jacobo, 43, of Chicago with driving without a license. He drove a red 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse near the intersection of Lorraine and Roosevelt roads around midnight when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.
  • Police charged Erick Hernandez, 28, of Lombard with driving on a suspended license. He drove a black 2002 Ford F-150 near the intersection of Naperville and Roosevelt roads around 6:45 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 22

DUI, Drugs, Endangering Child's Life

Police charged Madelyn Gomez, 25, of Glendale Heights with driving under the influence of drugs, marijuana possession, endangering a child’s life and driving on a suspended license. She drove a white 2000 Infiniti near the intersection of Bloomingdale and Geneva roads around 12:20 a.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 21

DUI

Police charged Mary Gallotta, 47, of Winfield with driving under the influence of alcohol. Gallotta drove a black 2003 Chevy Suburban near the intersection of Briarcliffe and Lakecliffe drives around 9:15 p.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Break-in

Someone broke into a home in the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue between 7:25 and 11:30 a.m. A Wheaton resident told police she saw someone had forced the front door open and opened many drawers and doors in the house. She told police she was not sure if anything was stolen, police said.

Felony Drug Possession

Police charged Michael Lillis, 20, of Naperville with felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested near the intersection of Blanchard Street and Casa Solana Drive around 12:30 a.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and taken to DuPage County Jail.
