DuPage DUI Arrests, June 30 Edition

June 25: Fernando Ibarra, 28, of the 1200 block of East 13th Street, Lombard, was arrested at 2:34 a.m. at Main Street and Curtiss. Ibarra was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC over .08 and disobeying a traffic control device. His black Acura Cl was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was released on an I-bond and has a July 31 court date in Wheaton.

June 22: Lauren M. Taylor, 26, of the 1500 block of Whitman Lane, Wheaton, was arrested at 2:20 a.m. at Highland Avenue and Frontage Road. Taylor was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and making an improper turn. Her blue Jeep Liberty was towed from the scene to an impound lot. She was released on I-bond and has a July 31 court date in Wheaton.

June 19: Michael B. Devaney, 51, of the 4200 block of Saratoga Street, Downers Grove, was arrested at 9:58 a.m. on the 1800 block of Ogden Avenue. Devaney was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane usage and driving without lights when required. His black Chevy Trailblazer was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was released on I-bond and has a July 24 court date in Wheaton.

GLEN ELLYN

June 23: Patrick M. Miller, 23, of the 700 block of Euclid Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was charged with the following:

  • Driving under the influence
  • Uninsured motor vehicle
  • Improper turn
  • Failure to signal

Police arrested Miller at 2:01 a.m. at the intersection of Spring and Route 53.

 

June 22: Michael L. Amison, 26, of the 5000 block of West Congress Parkway, Chicago, was charged with the following:

  • Driving under the influence
  • Sign violation
  • Improper lighting (one headlamp)

Police arrested Amison at 4:18 a.m. on the 600 block of Roosevelt Road.

 

HINSDALE

June 23: James L. Hanson, 30, of the 4300 block of Western Avenue, Western Springs, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle. Police at 1:57 a.m. stopped Hanson on the 100 block of East 55th Street for speeding, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test to determine blood alcohol level. He was charged and released to appear in court.

June 21: Michael J. Kiefer, 54, of the 600 block of North Vine Street, Hinsdale, was charged with the following: 

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08
  • Disobeying a stop sign (three counts)
  • Driving an uninsured vehicle
  • Improper lane use

Police at 11:47 p.m. stopped Kiefer at Chicago Avenue and Vine Street for disobeying stop signs and improper lane use, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and submitted a breath test, which indicated his blood alcohol content was greater than .08. He was charged and released to appear in court.

 

LEMONT

June 22: Debra S. Counter, 53, of the 700 block of Kromray, Lemont, was arrested at 7:59 p.m. following an incident at Archer Avenue and Derby Road. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Counter was issued an Aug. 6 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.

 

June 19: Russell W. Slagle, 50, of the 200 block of Healy Avenue, Romeoville, was arrested at 8:08 p.m. following an incident on the 1100 block of State Street. Slagle was charged with domestic battery and driving under the influence of alcohol. He appeared at the Bridgeview Courthouse for a bond hearing.

June 17: Kevin J. Kwasniewski, 29, of the 400 block of Illinois Street, Lemont, was arrested at 3:01 a.m. following an incident at Stephen and Porter streets. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Kwasniewski was issued a July 22 court date at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
