DuPage DUI Arrests, July 14 Edition

July 6: Frank W. Klatt, of the 15100 block of Freedom Way, Plainfield, was arrested at 1:57 a.m. at 63rd Street and Springside. Klatt was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08, possession of drug paraphernalia and no headlights illuminated when required. His white Hyundai Elantra was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was released on an I-bond and has a Aug. 14 court date in Wheaton.

July 5: Cynthia J. Rock, of the 2900 block of Wellington Avenue, Lisle, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. on the 4100 block of Fairview. Rock was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08. Her purple Plymouth Voyager was towed from the scene to an impound lot. She was released on an I-bond and has a Aug. 7 court date in Wheaton.

June 30: Rigoberto Calan-Toto, of the 7500 block of Orchard Lane, Woodridge, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. on Maple and Belmont Road. Calan-Toto was charged with the following: 

  • Aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol 
  • Driving while license suspended
  • Failure to yield to emergency vehicle
  • Improper lane usage
  • Operating an uninsured motor vehicle

Calan-Toto's brown GMC Envoy was towed from the scene to an impound lot. He was issued an Aug. 7 court date in Wheaton and was transported to the DuPage County Jail, where he was later released.

ELMHURST

July 4:

  • Sotero Perez, 49, of the 1400 block of Winifred, Joliet, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police pulled over his silver Ford F150 for failure to signal and driving without lights on the 100 block of East Butterfield at 10:47 p.m. He was released on bond. 
  • Anthony Mueller, 24, of the 1000 block of South Fairfield Avenue, Lombard, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his white Ford F150 for improper lane use at Brush Hill and Euclid at 3:56 a.m. He was released on bond.
  • Joanna Fuka, 19, of the 500 block of Fairview, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI and consumption of alcohol by a minor after police pulled her over for failure to signal at Second and Elm at 1:58 a.m. A juvenile passenger also was arrested for consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were both released on bond.
  • Paul Lococo, 22, of the 1100 block of Homestead, LaGrange Park, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his white Pontiac Sunfire for no rear plate light at St. Charles and West Avenue at 1:25 a.m. He was released on bond.

July 2: Patrick Shaw, 30, of the 500 block of Fern, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI and disorderly conduct after police said he was yelling at union workers picketing at Washington Park, Poplar and May, at 8:07 a.m. Police said he was very upset and "using a lot of profanity." Shaw said he has veteran friends who can't find work, yet "these men are getting paid for sitting in their Spongebob Squarepants chairs picketing." Police said the victims recorded seven minutes of the yelling. When police caught up with Shaw, they said he was driving his silver Dodge Ram over curbs.

June 30: Ramon Martinez, 25, of the 1600 block of Reckinger Road, Aurora, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a license after police said they found him passed out behind the wheel of his black Lincoln Continental with the vehicle running on the 600 block of North Michigan at 5:43 a.m. He was released on bond.

June 29:

  • Victorino Rosas, 31, of the 2500 block of North New England Avenue, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without a license, driving without insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol after police pulled over his red GMC Sierra for speeding and improper lane use at North and Oak at 4:55 a.m. A passenger, Armando Gomez-Ortiz, 40, of the same address, was arrested and charged with illegal transportation of alcohol. Both were released on bond.
  • Andrew Smith, 43, of the 600 block of West Fay, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his silver Acura for improper lane use at Fremont and York at 12:28 a.m. He was released on bond.

June 28: Carrie A. McCombs-Glenn, 43, of the 12400 block of Heritage Meadows, Plainfield, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over her blue Honda Civic for improper lane use on Roosevelt Road between York and Route 83 at 5:25 a.m. She was released on bond.

 

GLEN ELLYN

June 30: James E. Archie, 26, of the first block of Briar, Glen Ellyn, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to signal at 4:41 a.m. on the same block.

June 29: David Lares, 47, of the 2100 block of West Warren, Chicago, was charged with the following:

  • Driving under the influence
  • Possession of cannabis 30g and under
  • Driving while license suspended
  • Improper lane usage

Police arrested Lares at 11:15 p.m. at Roosevelt Road and Nicoll Way.

 

HINSDALE

July 7: Jose Joshua Jones, 29, of the 100 block of Ann Street, Clarendon Hills, was charged with the following: 

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC greater than .08
  • Driving an uninsured vehicle
  • Possession of cannabis less than 30 grams
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Disobeying a traffic control device
  • Improper lane use

Police at 3:34 a.m. pulled Jones over at Ogden Avenue and Salt Creek Road for disobeying a traffic control device and improper lane use, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and submitted a breath test, which indicated his blood alcohol content was greater than .08. Police also found cannabis and drug paraphernalia in Jones' possession. He was charged and released to appear in court. 

July 5: Jesus R. King, 48, of the 7800 block of West 107th Street, Palos Hills, was charged with the following: 

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol
  • Improper turning
  • Failure to signal
  • Disobeying a traffic control signal
  • Improper lane use

Police working a seatbelt enforcement detail at 4:24 a.m. pulled King over at Ogden Avenue and Madison Street for failing to stop at a flashing red light, failure to signal lane change, improper lane use and making an improper turn, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused to submit a breath test. He was charged and released to appear in court.

WOODRIDGE

June 29: Steven Tucker, 52, of the 6700 block of Taos Court, Lisle, was charged at 11:57 p.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol following a traffic stop on High Trail at Carl Court. 

June 7: Francisco Flores, 50, of the 100 block of West 1st Street, Glen Ellyn, was charged at 9:58 p.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, failure to obey a traffic control device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle following a traffic stop in the 7400 block of Route 53.
