Wheaton police reports, Sept. 17-21

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia

Police said they charged John Lukenoff, 18, of Merrillville, IN, with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Lukenoff was arrested in the 1500 block of Roosevelt Road around 12:40 a.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night, officers said.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

Controlled Substance

Police said they charged Andrew Gross, 21, of the 100 block of Hunters Glen Drive in Wheaton with felony possession of a controlled substance. Gross was charged near the intersection of Lorraine Road and Pershing Street around 10:20 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Battery

Police charged Terrell Lee, 20, of Chicago with battery, according to reports. He was arrested at the intersection of Liberty Drive and West Street around 5 p.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

Suspended License

Police said they charged Venustiano Bautista, 46, of Villa Park with felony aggravated driving on a suspended license. Bautista drove a black 2006 Ford Escape near the intersection of Blanchard Street and Roosevelt Road around 1 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19

Warrant, Trespassing

Police said they charged Michael Hardin, 49, of the 700 block of Liberty Drive in Wheaton with a warrant in connection with trespassing. He was arrested in the 600 block of Liberty Drive around 8:50 p.m. and taken to DuPage County Jail.

Rock Thrown at Car

Someone threw a rock at a gray 2003 Acura in the 1200 block of Butterfield Road around 4 p.m.

Driving Without a License

Police said they charged Veronica Arellano, 39, of Addison with driving without a license. She drove a tan 2003 Chevy Trailblazer near the intersection of Liberty Drive and Main Street around 2:50 p.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

Drug Paraphernalia

Police said they charged Javonte Hilton, 19, of the 500 block of Crescent Street in Wheaton with possession of drug paraphernalia. Hilton was arrested near the intersection of Crest Street and Roosevelt Road around 1:45 a.m., booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

DUI

Police said they charged Daniel Stear, 30, of Villa Park with driving under the influence of alcohol. Stear drove a silver 2005 Pontiac Sunfire near the intersection of Butterfield Road and Scottsdale Circle around 1:15 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18

DUI

Police said they charged Dion Duffy, 22, of the 500 block of North West Street in Wheaton with driving under the influence of alcohol. Duffy drove a black Jeep Patriot near the intersection of Golf View Court and Briarbrook Drive around 11 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Two Cited With Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia

Police said they issued local ordinance citations to an Elburn man and a Naperville woman related to possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Andrew Pavlovich, 22, of Elburn and Kathryn Wedeman, 21, of Naperville were both arrested near the intersection of Farnham Lane and Gainesboro Drive around 10 p.m. and released on the scene.

Dietary Supplement Stolen

Someone stole a $35 dietary supplement from a store in Danada West around 4:40 p.m.

Driving Without a License

Police said they charged Matthew Grote, 18, of the 1400 block of Stonebridge Trail in Wheaton with driving without a license. He drove a silver 2001 Ford Escape near the intersection of Blanchard Street and Roosevelt Road around 1:40 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17

Purse Stolen From Car

Someone stole a purse, containing a wallet and money from a gray 2011 Buick Enclave parked near the intersection of Arbor Street and Wheaton Avenue, south of Whittier School, around 3:15 p.m. The cost of items stolen is $615, police said.
