BURR RIDGE

April 25: Mark McDowell, 52, of the 200 block of Pond Ridge Circle, Libertyville, was charged at 12:12 a.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol in his 2009 Toyota on the 500 block of Village Center Drive.

APRIL 27: Lisa Hawks, 33, of the 400 block of 74th Street, Downers Grove, was arrested on the 1500 Block of Plainfield Road for driving under the influence, and failure to yield (private drive). Hawks was processed and released with a June 4 court date in Wheaton.

May 7: Stephen W. Peterson, of the 5500 block of Washington, Downers Grove, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. at the intersection of Ogden and Downers. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance, a defective windshield and speeding. His silver Chevy Tahoe was towed from the scene to an impound lot. Peterson was released on I-bond and has a June 12 court date in Wheaton.

May 5: David J. Smits, of the 5900 block of Webster, Downers Grove, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. on the 5700 block of Fairmount. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to signal and a burnt out headlamp. His silver Jeep Grand Cherokee was towed from the scene to an impound lot. Smits was released on I-bond and has a June 12 court date in Wheaton.

May 4:

  • Nicholas J. Lopez, of the 6000 block of Americana, Willowbrook, was arrested at 2:21 a.m. at the intersection of 63rd and Fairmount. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC over .08, possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia and speeding. His blue Nissan Maxima was towed from the scene to an impound lot. Lopez was released on I-bond and has a June 5 court date in Wheaton.
  • Tyler R. Ingles, of the 4300 block of Elm, Downers Grove, was arrested at 12:59 a.m. at the intersection of Ogden and Seeley. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane usage, failure to signal and driving an uninsured vehicle. His beige Pontiac Grand Am was towed from the scene to an impound lot. Ingles was released on I-bond and has a June 12 court date in Wheaton.

May 1:

  • Anne E. Hogh, of the 100 block of Main Street, Evanston, was arrested at 10:05 p.m. on the 3900 block of Fairview. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC over .08, driving while license suspended and no insurance. Her black Volvo Wagon was towed from the scene to an impound lot. Hogh was released on I-bond and has a June 5 court date in Wheaton.
  • Nicole E. Scialabba, of the 7300 block of Winthrop Way, Downers Grove, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. at the intersection of 75th Street and Fairmount. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, unlawful possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, no proof of insurance and operating a vehicle while registration suspended—non insured. Her gray Chrysler New Yorker was towed from the scene to an impound lot. Scialabba was released on I-bond and has a May 29 court date in Wheaton.

April 28: Joseph E. Davy, of the 1100 block of Robey Avenue, Downers Grove, was arrested at 1:38 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Oxford. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a BAC over .08, and improper lane usage. His gray Honda Accord was towed from the scene to an impound lot. Davy was released on I-bond and has a May 29 court date in Wheaton.

ELMHURST

May 8: Nicholas Schlitz, 23, of the 100 block of East Grand Avenue, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without insurance after police pulled over his blue Mitsubishi for improper lane use at York and Grand at 12:23 a.m. He was released on bond.

May 5:

  • Michael Duh, 24, of the 26100 block of North St. Mary's, Mettawa, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his red Chevrolet Tahoe at Park and Arlington at 3:45 a.m. Police had prior contact with him that night and had told him not to drive. He was released on bond.
  • Isaac Flores, 30, of the 1600 block of South 57th Court, Cicero, was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a license after police pulled over his silver Mercedes Benz C230 for improper lane use at County Line and Grand at 1:33 a.m. He was released on bond.

May 4:

  • Kenneth Lama, 29, of the 3700 block of North Olcot, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his blue Ford Expedition for driving the wrong way down a one-way street at Second and Addison at 11:59 p.m. He was released on bond.
  • Richard Jama, 53, of the first block of Taft Avenue, Hillside, was arrested and charged with DUI after police said he was urinating on the side of the road at Route 83 and Elizabeth at 4:08 a.m. He was released on bond.
  • Jose Garcia, 23, of the 1100 block of North 19th Avenue, Melrose Park, was arrested and charged with DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol after police pulled over his gray Ford Focus for no headlights at York and Third streets at 1:59 a.m. A passenger in his vehicle, Alonso Ayala, 19, of the 2700 block of Granville, Melrose Park, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol. Both were released on bond.

May 3:

  • Cathy A. O'Neill, age not given, of the 200 block of East St. Charles Road, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with DUI after police say she came into the police department on this day to report the Honda CRV she was driving hit a parked vehicle at Chandler and Park. She was released on bond.
  • Andrew Sanchez, 23, of the 6800 block of South Komensky, Chicago, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his Chevrolet Malibu for improper lane use at York and First streets at 7:58 a.m. He was released on bond.

GLEN ELLYN

April 30: Eric A. Finlon, 34, of the 700 block of Small Court, Naperville, was charged at 10:37 p.m. with driving under the influence and speeding at Roosevelt Road and Pershing.

HINSDALE

May 6: Alexander L. Cummins, 43, of the 100 block of East Hickory, Hinsdale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. Police at 11:03 p.m. stopped Cummins at Washington Street and Chicago Avenue for driving on the wrong side of the road, according to a report. He was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and refused a breath test, police said. He was charged and released to appear in court.

May 4: Kerry Bateman, 49, of the 300 block of 60th Ct, Willowbrook, was charged with felony DUI, driving while license revoked and criminal damage to property. Police at 10:58 p.m. were dispatched to a report of a van in a ditch on the northbound ramp to Route 83 from 55th Street. Bateman was found to be driving while his driver’s license was revoked and observed to be under the influence, police said. Bateman submitted a breath test over .08.

WHEATON

May 6:

  • Police charged Tiffany D. Miller, 33, of the 700 block of South Gables, Wheaton, with driving while license revoked. Miller drove a copper 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse near the intersection of Center and Westhaven at about 9:05 a.m. when police stopped her. She was arrested and released from the Wheaton Police Department later that morning.
  • Police charged Jerry O. Hoskins, 46, of the 600 block of South Hale, Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. Hoskins was driving a white 1997 Dodge Caravan at 12:10 a.m. at Blanchard Street and Naperville Road when police initiated a traffic stop. Hoskins was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning at his residence.

May 5: Police charged George H. Judge III, 48, of the 600 block of Delles Avenue, Wheaton, with felony aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and no driver's license. Judge was driving a tan 2003 Mercedes CLK500 at 7:33 p.m. on the 600 block of Delles when police initiated a traffic stop. Judge was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and transferred to the DuPage County Jail, where he was later released.

May 1: Police charged Mary C. Mead, 29, of the 28W600 block of Lester Street, West Chicago, with driving on a suspended license. Mead was driving a gray 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix at 11:50 p.m. at Gary and Thomas when police initiated a traffic stop. Mead was booked and released from the Wheaton Police Department later that night.

During the same incident, police arrested Jay G. Turingan, 36, with the same address as Mead, on two warrants for failure to appear. The Kane County Sheriff's Office issued one warrant and the St. Charles Police Department issued the other. Turingan was transferred to the DuPage County Jail. He was then transferred and booked into the Kane County Jail, where he remains on $1,500 bond.

April 28: Police charged Margaret Mae, 65, of Brookfield with driving under the influence of alcohol. Mae was driving a silver or aluminum 2005 Chevy Malibu at 9:51 p.m. at Butterfield and Naperville roads when police initiated a traffic stop. Mae was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that day.

WOODRIDGE

April 28: Oscar Melgarejo, 22, of the 14000 block of Largo Court, Plainfield, was charged with the following:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol
  • Aggravated driving while license suspended
  • Illegal transportation of alcohol
  • Operating an uninsured motor vehicle
  • Failure to signal
  • Improper turn

Melgarejo was arrested at about 3:35 a.m. following a traffic stop in the 7800 block of Route 53, according to a police report.

April 26: Randy Jones, 45, of the 600 block of West 45th Avenue, Gary, Ind., was charged with the following:

  • Aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol
  • Aggravated driving while license suspended
  • Possession of cannabis

Jones was arrested at about 7:25 p.m. following a traffic stop on the 2000 block of 75th Street, according to a police report.
