DuPage DUI Arrests, Dec. 16

DOWNERS GROVE

Dec. 8: Victor A. Martinez, 47, of the 1400 block of Wild Meadow in Round Lake, was arrested around 11:19 p.m. in the 1100 block of Parker, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was issued a Jan. 16, 2013 court date in Wheaton.

Dec. 4: Jacob M. Saflarski, 35, of the 500 block of Brookside Drive in Westmont, was arrested around 3:58 a.m. near 63rd Street and Fairview Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, failure to signal and improper lane usage. He was issued a Jan. 2, 2013 court date in Wheaton.

ELMHURST

Dec. 9:

• Megan Murphy, 24, of Roselle, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use and driving with a suspended driver’s license after a traffic stop near York and Palmer just before 4 a.m.

Dec. 7: Hector Calderon, 45, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding after a traffic stop around 4:50 p.m. near Route 83 and Interstate 290, police said. Calderon was later released on bond.

GLEN ELLYN

Dec. 6: Ignacio Marquez, Jr., 37, of the 2200 block of Hollister Court, Plainfield, was arrested at 1:19 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Surrey Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.

Dec. 2:

• Police said Aida Aurora E. Gamboa, 55, of the 1100 block of East Addison, Lombard, was arrested at 4:34 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Surrey Drive. She was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use.
• Baljinnyam Tserennadmid, 37, of the 0-99 block of Vivaldi Court, Wheaton, was arrested at 3:25 a.m. at Roosevelt Road and Blanchard Street, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and endangering the life or health of a child.

HINSDALE

Dec. 7: Responding to a report of a car crashing into a tree, Hinsdale Police said they arrested two women and charged them with DUI. Witnesses said they saw Bethany Halperin, 36, of Hinsdale, driving the vehicle when it struck a tree near the intersection of North Street and Bruner Place at 10:51 p.m., according to the police report. Witnesses told police a passenger in the car, Roxanne Wallace, 22, of Westmont, then got behind the wheel and drove the vehicle into a nearby residential driveway, the report said. Halperin lives on Bruner Place.

The officer responding to the crash observed both women under the influence of alcohol, according to police. Wallace submitted a breath sample that was more than the legal blood-alcohol limit of .08 and was arrested at the scene, police said. She was charged with DUI and released on a promise to appear at a later court date. Police arrested Halperin at the scene and charged her with driving while her license was suspended for a previous DUI. After obtaining a search warrant, police took her to Hinsdale Hospital for a blood test to determine blood alcohol content. She was charged with DUI and failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash. Police said additional charges are pending lab results.

Nov. 12-Nov. 25: Two drivers were arrested for DUI as part of an enforcement initiative to crack down on drunk and unbelted drivers. A total of 26 motorists were issued citations for failing to wear their safety belts, 35 motorists were issued citations for speeding and 66 motorists were issued citations for other Illinois Vehicle Code violations.

LISLE

Dec. 12: Nicole J. Knight, 41, 1008 Honest Pleasure Drive, Naperville, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 8:20 p.m. at Maple and Yackley avenues, Lisle police said.

WHEATON

Dec. 9: Police charged Marrio Butler, 35, of Chicago with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a white 2009 Mitsubishi Galant near the intersection of Main Street and Roosevelt Road around 1:20 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Dec. 8: Police charged Michael Lococo, 25, of Elmwood Park with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a silver 2012 Dodge Stratus near the intersection of Blanchard Street and Roosevelt Road around 4 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Dec. 6: Police charged Lisa MacMillan, 49, of the 1700 block of Warwick Court in Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. She drove a green Saturn LS2 near the intersection of Butterfield and Wiesbrook roads around 11:40 p.m. when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Dec. 5:

• Police charged Joanna Sanders, 34, of Winfield, with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license. She drove a silver 2012 Toyota Yaris near the intersection of Fapp Circle and Roosevelt Road around midnight when police stopped her. She was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.
• Police charged David Stotts, 41, of the first block of Sterling Circle in Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a silver 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe near the intersection of Elm Street and Naperville Road around 10:45 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.
• Police charged Mark Kohout, 41, of the 1000 block of Durham Drive in Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol and a hit-and-run. He drove a silver 2002 Buick LeSabre in the 1000 block of Durham Drive around 7:30 p.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that night.

Dec. 4: Police charged Patrick Clifford, 53, of the 800 block of Greenwood Drive in Wheaton, with driving under the influence of alcohol. He drove a silver 2006 Lexus near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and West Street around 12:45 a.m. when police stopped him. He was booked at the Wheaton Police Department and released later that morning.

Nov. 21-28: Susan Michele Doud, 38, of the 1300 block of Coolidge Avenue in Wheaton, was arrested at 11:23 p.m. near North Washington Street and West 5th Avenue in Naperville, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance and disobeying a stop sign. Her bond was $300.
