Car With Keys in Ignition, Open Windows and Unlocked Doors Stolen from Wheaton Parking Lot

A man left his keys in the ignition of his unlocked gray 2006 Nissan Maxima while he ran into Wheaton Food Mart Saturday. When he came out five minutes later, the car was gone.

A Wheaton resident reported a stolen car Saturday, May 19, after someone took his gray 2006 Nissan Maxima from the parking lot outside Wheaton Food Mart, 728 S. Lorraine Road, around 8:40 p.m. He told police he left the car unlocked, with the windows open and the keys in the ignition while he went into the store and when he returned, it was gone.
