Bromstead Attorney Awaits Evidence in Domestic Case
Council candidate returns to court in May.
A status hearing in the domestic battery case against Wheaton City Council candidate Derek Bromstead happened on Friday, March 18, a business day earlier than planned, to accommodate a job interview.
Bromstead was originally supposed to appear in court on Monday, but his attorney stated in court documents that hearing would conflict with a meeting Bromstead had scheduled with a potential employer.
Bromstead's attorney, Ann Marie Lampariello-Perez, wrote that the self-employed Bromstead is experiencing "trouble making ends meet and requires a second income to support his family," according to court records.
